Calculate the change in potential energy when a bag of mass 12 kg is raised from a point A situated at 3.0 m height to another point B situated at 1.5 m height from the ground. (Take g = 10 m/s?)​

Initial potential energy ( at height 3m) = mgh

=> 12x10x3 = 360J ---------(1)

final potential energy (at height 1.5m) = mgh

=> 12x10x1.5 = 180J ----------(2)

change in potential energy = (2) - (1)

=> 180 - 360

=> 180J

From above, change in potential energy = 180J
