Question

Calculate the charges passing through an electric bulb in 30 minutes if the value of current is 450mA .

Answer

Given :-

Time (t)= 30 minutes

value of current =450mA

Formula which shows relationship between current , time and charges is :-

I = Q/T

where I = current

T = time

Q= charges

converting 450mA in to A

1A=1000mA

1mA= 0.001 A

450 mA = 0.45 A

T= 30 minutes

I= 0.45 A

Q is the charge in colomb

putting all values in formula

j =  \frac{q}{t}  \\ 0.45 =  \frac{q}{30}  \\ q = 0.45 \times 30 \\ q = 13.5 \: a

Answer is 13.5 a

Here , A = Ampere

mA = Mili Ampere
