Calculate the concentration by mass by mass percentage of 20g of common salt and 300g of water​

Concentration of solution is the measure of solute that is dissolved in the solvent. Concentrated solution has more solute dissolved in it. Whereas diluted solution has less solute dissolved in it

GIven,

Mass of solute = 20g

Mass of solvent = 300g

Mass of solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent

= 300 + 20 = 320g

Concentration in terms of mass/mass % =  \frac{mass \: of \: solute  }{mass \: of \: solution} * 100

 =  \frac{20}{320} * 100

 =  \frac{1}{16} * 100

 = 6.25
