Calculate the concerntration of a solution which contains 2.5g salt dissolved in 100g water

Answer:

given the mass of solute (salt) = 2.5 g

and mass of solvent (water) = 50g

as we know that mass of solution = mass of solute + mass of solvent

= 2.5 + 50

= 52.5g

concentration of the solution = (mass of solute/mass of solution) × 100

= (2.5/52.5) × 100

= 250/52.5

= 4.76% (approximately)
