According to the questions, we should calculate the resistance of the copper wire

• we know that,

R = ΦL / A

where R denotes resistance, Φ denotes resistivity, L denotes length of the wire and A denotes area of cross section.

L = 1m

A = 2 mm^2 = 2 x 10^-6 m^2

Φ = 1.7 x 10^-8 ohm meter.

therefore,

R = ( 1.7 x 10^-8 x 1 ) / 2 x 10^-6

R = 0.85 x 10^-2

implies,

R = 8.5 x 10^-3 ohm.
