so total resistance is 12ohm

now 12 and 3 are in parallel

so resultant is

12x3/12+3

36/15

therefore current is

V/R

4.8 / 2.4

= 2

Rs = 6 + 6 = 12 ; 1 / Rp = 1 / 12 + 1 / 3 = 5 / 12

R = 12 / 5 = 2.4 ohm

V = 4.8 v

I = V / R = 4.8 / 2.4 = 2 A
