Here is your answer....
Potential difference =12 volt.
Overall resistance in the circuit => 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2
=> 1/R = 1/8 + 1/20
=> 1/R = 5 + 2 / 40
=> 1/R = 7/40
=> R = 40/7
Now, V = IR
=> I = V/R
=> I = 12÷40/7
=> I = 12× 7/40
=> I = 84/40
=> I = 2.1 ampere
Hence, the current flowing through the circuit is 2.1 ampere.
