Given:-
• Charge=36 Kilo coulomb
• Time=1 hour
To find:-
• Current flowing through the conductor
Solution:-
As we know that current flowing through the conductor can be said to 1 Ampere when 1 Coluomb or charge flows in 1 second.
It means that value of charge and time should be in standard form, but in the Question we have given charges and time in kilo coulomb and hour respectively. So let's convert them in standard units!
1 kilo coulomb = 100 coulomb
36 Kilo coulomb = 36×1000
36 Kilo coulomb =36000 coulomb
Now,
1 hour=60 min
1 min=60 seconds
So,
1 min=60×60 seconds
1 min=3600 seconds
Now applying formula for current:
⇒ Current, I=Q/t
⇒ Current, I=36000 coulomb/3600 second
⇒ Current, I=10 coulomb/second
⇒ Current=1 Ampere
So the required value of current is 1 Ampere.
