Calculate the current flowing through a wire of resistance 8 ohm connected to battery of potential difference 4 volt.​

Given,

Potential difference [V] = 4V

Resistance [R] = 8Ω

Current [I] = ?

From Ohm's law,

→ resistance [R] = V/I

or

→ current [I] = V/R

= 4/8

= 0.5 ampere ...

V = iR

i =  \frac{v}{r}

i =  \frac{3v}{5Ω}

= 0.6 A

∴ Current flowing through wire is 0.6 A
