Solution: We have the expression of the power in terms of potential difference and the current.

We have the given value of the electric power and the potential difference.

Power = Electric Potential \times Electric Current \\\\\\P = V\times I\\\\\\I = \dfrac{P}{V}

Now we put the value of electric potential and the electric current,

I = \dfrac{10\times10^{3} }{230}\\\\I =  43.4782A

So, the current rating for the fuse of an appliance is 43.4782A
