If l coulomb of charge will be passed in 1 second .

Charge in one hour = 1 x 60 x 60 = 3600 x I C

Reaction of Cu will be ,

Cu²⁺ + 2e⁻ = Cu

Two moles of electron will be required to form one mole of Cu :

2 x 96485 C of charge = 63.59 g

3600 x I C of charge = 63.59 x 3600I / (2 x 96485) = 2.369 g

I = (2.369 x 2 x 96485) / (3600 x 63.59)

I = 2 A
