Calculate the current which eill produce a deflection

In tangent galvanometer, the relation between current I and deflection θ is given as

 

I = k tanθ, where k is reduction factor.

 

when current is 1 amp and deflection is 30º. hence k = √3.

 

current for 60º is, I = √3×tan60 = √3×√3 = 3 amp
