hello dear,

ke_ i}= 1/2*m*v²

now the velovity decreases by half,

so

v=1/2v

ke_{f}=1/2*m*(1/2v)²

                        =1/2*m*1/4v²

change in KE= ke_{f}-ke_{i}

=1/2*m*1/4v² - (1/2*m*v²)

=1/4

therefore the final Ke becomes 1/4 of the initial..

Hope this helps you..
