Answer:

Density= Mass/Volume

d= M/V

Given,

Volume= 3m^3

Mass= 9kg

Density=?

d= 9/3

d= 3 kg/m^3

Object will sink on the water surface as it's density is very less comparatively to water, water has a density of 1000 kg/m^3 at 4°C.
