pV = RT

V = RT/p

V = 8.31*273/2

V = 1134.315

density = mass / volume

density = 18/1134 .315

density = 0.015

Answer:/0.72 g/dm 3

P V = n R T

Since  ρ = mv , and

V = m ρ

where ρ is the density and

m  is mass, we can write:

P m/ ρ = n R T

Since

n = m /M  , where

M is the molar mass, we can write:

P m/ ρ = m R T/ M

1 /ρ = m R T /M P m

ρ = M P /R T

Now we have our equation.

M = 16.04 g/mol

P = 1 atm

T = 273.15 K

R = 0.0821 L atm K − 1 mol − 1

Inputting:

ρ = 16.04 * 1 /0.0821 *273.15

ρ = 0.72g/dm3
