Calculate the density of solid from the following data:
mass of given solid = 84.2g
Initial volume of water in measuring cylinder
= 36mL
find volume of water and solid in a measuring cylinder =60ml​

Answer:

Density = mass/volume.

Since the volume of solid will be equal to volume of displaced fluid,

Volume = 60-36 = 24mL

Density = 84.2/24

=3.50 g/mL
