kinetic energy =mv^2 because 1/2is dimension less

m=mass of atom(M)

v=velocity of particle (displacement/time=LT^-)

Energy =ML^2T^-2

Answer: the si unit for mass is kg.and the si unit of velocity is m\s. as 1/2 is a constant quantity,it doesnot have unit and dimension.

KE=kg*(m\s)2.

we need to express kg in form of M ,metre in form of L and time in form of T with proper power inside big brakets, so the dimensional formula is:

(ML2T-2)
