1/R=(1/R1)+(1/R2)+(1/R3)

Hence effective resistance=1/(1/R)

In case the resistances are equal, then effective resistance in parallel is: R/N, where R is the value of resistance and N is the no of resistors in parallel.

Now, as per your question, effective resistance is: R=3ohms; N=3 resistors in parallel. Hence, 3ohms/3 resistors in parallel= 1 ohm effective.
