Given :

  • 3 bulb of 40 W for 6 hours per day
  • 4 tubelights of 50 W for 8 hours per day
  • 4 T.V of 120 W for 6 hours per day
  • Rate of electricity per unit is 2.50

To find :

  • Electricity bill of June

According to the question,

Energy consumed by the bulb = 40/1000 × 6

➨ Energy consumed by the bulb = 0.24

Now,

Energy consumed by 3 bulb = 0.24 × 3 = 0.72 KWh

Energy consumed by tubelight = 50/1000 × 8

➨ Energy consumed by tubelight = 0.4 KWh

Now,

➨ Energy consumed by 4 tubelight = 0.4 × 4 = 1.6 KWh

Energy consumed by T.V = 120/1000 × 6

➨ Energy consumed by T.V = 0.72 KWh

Now,

➨ Energy consumed by 4 T.V = 0.72 × 4

➨ Energy consumed by 4 T.V = 2.88 KWh

So,

Total energy consumed in 1 day = 0.72 + 1.6 + 2.88

➨ Total energy consumed in 1 day = 5.2 KWh

Energy consumed in June = 5.2 × 30

➨ Energy consumed in June = 156 KWh

Note : As we know that June is of 30 days

Total cost = 156 × 2.50

➨ Total cost = Rs. 390.
