Given - Number of poles, flux/pole, speed, number of conductors

Find - EMF generated

Solution - The formula to be used for calculation of EMF generated is -

E = (P×N×flux×Z)÷(60×A)

In the given formula, E is EMF, P refers to number of poles in a generator, N is speed of armature in rotations per minute, Z is representative of number of armature conductors, A refers to number of parallel paths and flux should be flux per pole.

As we know, for simplex wave value of A is 2.

Keep the values in formula to find the EMF generated.

E =

 \frac{4×1500×0.007×1020}{60×2}

E =

 \frac{42840}{120}

E = 357 V

Hence, the EMF generated is 357 V
