Given :-

Power of the bulb = 250 W

Time required = 6 hours

To Find :-

The energy dissipated in kWh.

The energy dissipated in J.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • e = Energy
  • p = Power
  • t = Time

Using the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Power=\dfrac{Energy}{Time} }}

Given that,

Power (p) = 250 W

Time (t) = 6 hours = 21600 sec

Substituting their values,

⇒ 250 = E/21600

⇒ E = P × T

⇒ E = 250 × 21600

⇒ E = 5400000 J = 5.4 × 10⁶ J

Therefore, the energy dissipated is 5.4 × 10⁶ J.
