calculate the energy possessed by a stone of mass 10kg kept at a height of 5 metre if 196 into 10 raise to 2 juice energy is used to raise an object of mass 40 kg above the ground up to what height the object can be raised​

Answer:

(i) mass of stone=10kg

acceleration =10m/s²

height =5m

energy possessed by the stone = mgh

=10×10×5=500 Joules

(ii) mass of object= 40kg

acceleration= 10 m/s²

let the height at which the object can be raised is= h meters

energy uesd to raise the object =196×10²Joules =mgh

196×10²=40×10×h

196×100/40×10 =h

49 m = h

So, the object can be raised to a height of 49 m
