Therefore, the energies of the stationary states of hydrogen-like ions are given by the expression

En =( - 2.18 × 10-18 ) Z2 / n2 atom-1

Here n = 1and , Z = 2

En = (-2.18 X 10-18) 22/12

= 8.72 x 10-18 J
