E(ph)=hcR((1/n(lower))²-(1/n(upper))²)

→hcR=13.6eV

E(ph)=13.6 (1/2)²-(1/3)²

               =h(c/λ)=hcR(5/36)

               1/λ=R(5/36)

               λ=1/R(36/5)

 1/R is a constant and is 91 nm

on substituting we get

λ=655.2 this is in the optical (it's a red-pink)
