Resistors along path DE-DC and, EF-CF are in series respectively.
Rs=R1+R2
Thus, R=8+4=12 Ohms (Along CDE and CFE)
Now, CDE and CFE are in parallel combination.
As, 1/Rp=1/R1+1/R2
Thus, R=6 Ohms
