Calculate the equivalent resistance of the circuit, the intensity of current flowing through each resistance and the potential difference at the terminals of each resistance.

I'm not sure if the switch also has resistance

Answer:

swich has no resistance

Explanation:

Req= 100 +200+300=600 ohm as they r in parallel

now

V=IR

12=I(600)

I=12/600

I=0.02 A is current intensity in all resisters.

now

potential drop at R1=(0.02)(100)

=2v

potential at point B= 10v

potential drop at R2=(0.02)(200)

=4v

potential at point C = 10-4=6v

potential drop at R3=(0.02)(300)

=6v

potential at point D=0v

potential difference across R1= 12-10

=2v

potential difference across R2=10-6

=4v

potential difference across R3=6-0

=6v
