Given ,

The resistances of 3 ohms and 6 ohms are connected in parallel

As we know that , the equivalent resistance in parrallel combination is given by

 \boxed{ \tt{ \frac{1}{R} =  \frac{1}{R'}+   \frac{1}{R''} + ...}}

Thus ,

1/R = 1/3 + 1/6

1/R = (2 + 1)/6

R = 6/3

R = 2 Ohm

Therefore ,

  • The equivalent resistance is 2 ohm
