As we know,

Equivalent weight=Molecular mass/n

For acids, n=total number of H+ ions that are exchanged/replaced.

For base, n=total number of of OH- ions that are exchanged/replaced.

For salts, n=change in oxidation number.

As we have to find the equivalent weight of H3PO4, molecular mass= 1*3+31+16*4=97

Now since H3PO4 changes to CaHPO4 so 2 H+ ions are replaced.

Hence equivalent weight of H3PO4= 97/2 =48.5..

hope this answer helps you...

Answer:

98/3

Explanation:

h3po4-po4+3 +3H^- then the basicity of this acid comes to be 3 so equivalent weight is M/3 which is 98/3
