Explanation:

equivalent weight is equal to weight / n factor

n factor of an elemnt is its charge

in ZnSO4 the charge of Zn would be +2

and weight of zinc atom is 65.38

so therefore the equivalent weight of zinc is 32.69

in so2, the charge on the molecule is -2

so n factor =2

gram equvivalent = weight/equivalent weight

equivalent weight =molecular weight/n factor

=64/2=32.....

given weight =16.8 gms

gram equivalent= 16.8/32

=0.525 gms

hence found
