Given :

  • Masses of the body are m₁= 200kg, m₂ = 400 kg
  • Distance separated by them is r= 80 cm

Required to find :

ㅤㅤㅤㅤForce of attraction.

Explanation :

We know that,

F = G m₁ m₂/r²

where,

  • F = force of attraction
  • G = Gravitational constant => 6.67×10⁻¹¹ N
  • m₁ , m₂ are masses
  • r = distance separated

Plugging down the values,

Converting 80cm - m => 80×10⁻² m

F = (6.67×10⁻¹¹ × 200 × 400)/ 80× 10⁻²

F = (6.67× 10⁻¹¹× 8 × 10⁴)/80×10⁻²

F = (6.67× 8 × 10⁻¹¹⁺⁴)/8×10¹⁻²

F = ( 6.67 × 8 × 10⁻⁷)/8 × 10⁻¹

F = 6.67×10⁻⁷⁺¹

F = 6.67 × 10⁻⁶ N

So, the force of attraction between them is 6.67 × 10⁻⁶ N [tex][/tex]
