EXPLANATION.

  • GIVEN

gravity acting on your friend of mass = 60kg

mass of earth = 6 X 10^24 kg

radius of the earth = 6.4 X 10^6 m

TO FIND FORCE OF GRAVITY.

Formula of gravitational force

F \:  =  \frac{GM1M2}{ {r}^{2} }

f \:  =  \frac{6.67 \times 10 {}^{ - 11} \times 6 \times 10 {}^{24}  \times 60 }{(6.4 \times 10 {}^{6} ) {}^{2} }

f \:  =  \frac{6 .67 \times 360 \times 10 {}^{13}  }{6.6 \times 6.4 \times 10 {}^{12} }

F = 588.9 N

Therefore,

force 588.9 N has acted on my friend.

Force 588.9N has acted on my friend.

Given :-

  • Mass of your friend (m) = 60kg
  • Mass of earth (M) = 6 × 10^24kg.
  • Radius of earth (r) = 6.4 × 10^6 m.

To Find :-

  • Calculate the force acted on your friend.

Solution :-

  • As we know that

  \huge\tt \: F \:  = G  \: \frac{M \: m}{r {}^{2} }

 \implies \large\tt \: F =  \frac{6.67 \times 10 {}^{ - 11} \times 6 \times 10 {}^{24}   \times 60 }{(6 \times 10 {}^{6} ) {}^{2} }

 \implies \large \tt \: F \:  =  \frac{6.67 \times 360 \times 10 {}^{( - 11 +24) } }{6.6 \times 6.4 \times 10 {}^{12} }

 \implies \large \tt \: F \:  =  \frac{6.67 \times 360 \times 10 {}^{13 } }{6.6 \times 6.4 \times 10 {}^{12} }

 \implies \large \tt \: \red{ F \:  =  588.9N}
