Force=mass×acceleration (or)Force= mass×deceleration,

acceleration=(change in velocity)/time interval

Initial velocity=5m/s

Final velocity=0 m/s

Time interval=2s

Therefore, acceleration=(0-5)/2

=-2.5m/s^2

Therefore deceleration=2.5m/s^2

(Acceleration= -(deceleration))

For car:

Mass=1200kg

Force=mass×deceleration

=1000×2.5

=2500N

For truck:

Mass=12000kg

Force=10000(2.5)

=25000N
