Hello Dear.

Imagine you're standing on the surface of earth at any point.
we know that any force must be acting on the body.
Then the force which is acting on a body i.e you =  m_{g}

Let the mass of the body i.e you = 70 kg .

we know that 'acceleration due to gravity is on the earth surface is 9.8 m/s²

Thus, we know the formula,

W = mg
 = 70 x 9.8
 = 686 N.

By Newton's third law, Body also attracts earth with 686 N.

Hence it is the force acting on the body by earth is 686 N.

Hope it Helps.

By the third rule of Newton (action-reaction will always be equal), the man always draws the earth in the opposite direction with a force of 650 N.

Explanation:

  • Consider that a man stands upon the Earth's surface.
  • Force that acts on the man = mg

Where,

m = mass of the man and

g = Acceleration due to gravity on earth's surface (* 10 m /s)

Suppose the mass of the man equals 65 kg.

  • Then F = W = mg = 65 × 10 = 650 N = Force that acts on man
  • By the third rule of Newton (action-reaction will always be equal), the man always draws the earth in the opposite direction with a force of 650 N.
