Calculate the frequency at which the boat rocks when waves of wavelength 100 m travelling at a speed of 20 m/s strikes it.

Given :-

Wavelength = 100 m

Speed = 20 m/s

To Find :-

Frequency

Solution :-

We know that

{\large{\boxed{\frak{\pink{\underline{\dag  \lambda=\dfrac{v}{f}}}}}}}

Where

λ = Wavelength

v = speed

f = frequency

100 = 20/f

100 × f = 20

100f = 20

f = 20/100

f = 2/10

f = 0.2 Hz

Hence

Frequency is 0.2 Hz
