Solution :-

  • Before stepping into the solution, let us know what is frequency and time period.

     → Frequency is the number of waves passing through a point in 1s

     → Time period is the time taken to produce one wave

  • Frequency and time period are related as :-

       \bf\ n = \frac{1}{T}

       Where "n" is frequency and "T" is time period

  • In this case, T = 8s

    ⇒ n = \sf\frac{1}{8} = 0.125 Hz

Frequency of the wave is 0.125 Hz
