Calculate the gain in potential energy of a satellite of mass 3000kg between its launch and when it is at a height of 0.12×10^6m above the earth.

here, mass is 3000000 as we have coverted by multiplying 3000kg × 1000m. here gravity is 10mpersec and height is 0.12 × 10^6.

now putting the value,

E. P. = mgh

= 3×10^6 × 9.8 × 0.12 × 10^6

3528×10^10 Joule
