Given :-

Cost price of the watch :- ₹ 450

Selling price of the watch :- ₹ 475

To Find :-

Gain percentage of the watch

Formula required :-

{\large \tt \dashrightarrow \orange{\boxed{\tt \gray{\dfrac{Gain}{Cost \: price} \times 100}}}}

Solution :-

First, we should find the gain in numerical format by subtracting the selling price and the cost price and then we should calculate the gain percentage by using the given formula

Gain :-

{\tt \longrightarrow 475 - 450}

{\tt \longrightarrow Rs \: \: 25}

Now,

Gain percentage :-

{\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{25}{450} \times 100}

{\tt \longrightarrow \cancel \dfrac{25}{450} \times 100 = \dfrac{1}{18} \times 100}

{\tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{1 \times 100}{18} = \dfrac{100}{18}}

{\tt \longrightarrow \cancel \dfrac{100}{18} = \boxed{\tt 5.55 \bf\%}}

\Huge\therefore The gain percentage of the watch is 5.5%.
