we have to calculate the grams of NaCl in 250 h of a commercial bleach solution in which concentration of NaCl is 5.5% by mass.

solution : concentration of NaCl is 5.5% by mass. it means, in 100g of commercial bleach solution, 5.5g of NaCl is present.

so, in 250g of commercial bleach solution, amount of NaCl in grams = 5.5/100 × 250

= 55/4 g

= 13.75 g

Therefore 13.75g of NaCl is present in 250 g of a commercial bleach solution.
