Calculate the gravitational force between the two masses if Distance between them is increased by 5 times.

Explanation:

Let F1 be the initial gravitational force

m1= mass of 1sr body and m2 = mass of another body.

r1= distance between them

so, F1 = G m1×m2/r1²

when distance is increased 5 times , new gravitational force between them,

F2 = G m1×m2/(5r1)²

= G m1×m2/25r1²

or,F2 = 1/25 × F1

when the distance is increased 5 times the gravitational for between them will be reduced to 1/25 times.
