Answer :-

Gravitational force of attraction between the man and earth is 488.5 N .

Explanation :-

We have :-

→ Mass of the man = 50 kg

→ Mass of Earth = 6 × 10² kg

→ Radius of Earth = 6.4 × 10 m

→ Value of 'G' = 6.67 × 10¹¹ Nm²/kg²

________________________________

According to Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation, we know that :-

F = GMm/

Where :-

F is Gravitational force.

G is Gravitational Constant.

M is mass of the man.

m is mass of earth.

r is radius of earth.

Substituting values, we get :-

⇒ F = [6.67 × 10⁻¹¹ × 50 × 6 × 10²⁴]/(6.4 × 10⁶)²

⇒ F = [2001 × 10¹³]/[40.96 × 10¹²]

⇒ F = 2001/40.96 × 10¹³⁻¹²

⇒ F = 48.85 × 10

F = 488.5 N

Question:-

  • Calculate the gravitational force of attraction between earth and man of mass 50 kg.

To Find:-

  • Give the gravitational force.

Solution:-

Given ,

  • Mass of the man = 50 kg

  • Mass of Earth = 6 × 10²⁴ kg

  • Radius of the Earth = 6.4 × 10⁶ m

  • Value of ‘ G ’ = 6.67 × 10-¹¹ Nm²/kg²

Now ,

We have to find the gravitational force:-

\dashrightarrow\sf \: F = \dfrac { 6.67 \times { 10 }^{ - 11 } \times 50 \times 6 \times { 10 }^{ 24 } } { { ( 6.4 \times { 10 }^{ 6 } ) }^{ 2 } }

\dashrightarrow\sf \: F = \dfrac { 2001 } { 40.96 \times { 10 }^{ 13 - 12 } }

\dashrightarrow\sf \: F = 48.85 \times 10

\dashrightarrow\sf \: F = 488.5 \: N

Hence ,

  • Gravitational force is 488.5 N.
