then the resistor A of 3 ohm
equivalent resistance b of 1 ohm
and resistance of 2 ohm
are in series which give net resistance 3+1+2=6ohm
so net current in circuit I=V/R so I=16/6 which is 8/3
now heat through A (of 3 ohm resistance ) by applying H=I*I*R => 8/3*8/3*3= 64/3 J
