Given :

Current I = 0.5 Ampere

Time t = 2 minutes = 120 seconds

Resistance R = 1000 ohm

To Find :

Heat produced, i.e., H

Calculation:

- We know that the formula of heat produced is given by:

H = I² × R × t

⇒ H = (0.5)² × 1000 × 120

⇒ H = 0.25 × 120000

H = 30,000 Joule

or H = 30 KJ

- Hence the heat produced in the conductor is 30 KJ.
