We have kinetic energy = 3/2 nRT.

Temperature in Kelvin = 273k+27°C = 300K.

R= universal gas constant = 2 cal/mole Kelvin

No of moles given = 5 moles of nitrogen. Therefore n=5.

Applying the formula.

KE = 3/2x5x2x300cal

= 15x300cal

= 4500cals.

=4.5kcal.
