Answer:

m=100g=0.1 kg

v=20m/s

KE = 1/2 mv²

= 1/2 * 0.1 * 20 * 20

= 20 J

Given:-

  • Mass of ball ,m = 100g

  • velocity ,v = 20m/s

To Find:-

  • Kinetic energy ,K.E.

Solution:-

Firstly we convert the mass into in kg

1 kg = 1000g

100g = 100/1000 = 0.1 kg

As we know that Kinetic Energy is defined as the energy produced by due to its motion.

• K.E = 1/2mv²

Substitute the value we get

→ K.E = 1/2× 0.1 ×20²

→ K.E = 1/2 ×0.1 ×400

→ K.E = 0.1 ×200

→ K.E = 20 J

Therefore , the kinetic energy of the ball is 20 Joules.
