 Here, λ=600nm,λ′=400nm,Kmax′=2Kmax

According to Einstein photoelectric equation

Kmax=λhc−ϕ0

and 2Kmax=λ′hc−ϕ0

Dividing by we get 

2=λhc−ϕ0λ′hc−ϕ0      or   λ2hc−2ϕ0=λ′hc−ϕ0
