Calculate the largest number of cubes of side 6 cm that can be cut from a wooden block whose dimensions are 60 cm by 30 cm by 20 cm.

note: answer should be 150..I only need the explanation and all the calculations. ​

Note :- I think wooden block is a type of cuboid.

Volume of cube = Side³

=> 6³

=> 6 × 6 × 6

=> 216 cm³

Volume of wooden block :-

=> 60 cm × 30 cm × 20 cm

=> 36000 cm³

The largest number of cubes of side 6 cm that can be cut from a wooden block :-

=> Volume of wooden block / Volume of cube

=> 36000 / 216

[ Reduce this fraction :-

(36000 ÷ HCF) / (216 ÷ HCF)

(36000 ÷ 72) / (216 ÷ 72)

500 / 3 ]

=> 500 / 3

=> 166

Hence, answer is 166 cubes .
