In triangle ABD,
By Pythagoras theorem
AB^2=AD^2+BD^2
(10)^2=(6)^2+BD^2
BD^2=100-36
BD=√64=8
Now,
In triangle BDC
BC^2=CD^2+BD^2
BC^2=(15)^2+(8)^2
BC^2=225+64
BC=√289
BC=17
therefore length of BC is 17 cm.
