☘️\Large{\blue{\bold{Given:}}}

  • In ∆ABC, Angle C is Right Angle.
  • AC = 12 units.
  • AB = 13 units.

☘️\Large{\blue{\bold{To\;Find:}}}

  • Length of the third side (BC).

☘️\Large{\blue{\bold{Solution:}}}

WKT,

Side opposite to the Right Angle(90°) [or] The longest side in a Right Angled Triangle is called Hypothenuse.

\boxed{\pink{\sf{(Hypothenuse)² = (Side)²+(Side)²}}}

→\;{\sf{(AB)² = (AC)²+(BC)²}}

→\;{\sf{(13)² = (12)²+(BC)²}}

→\;{\sf{BC = \sqrt{169-144}}}

→\;{\sf{BC = \sqrt{25}}}

→\;{\sf{BC = \sqrt{(5)²}}}

→\;{\sf{BC = 5}}

  • Length of BC = \red{\sf{5\;units}}
