Answer:

ANSWER

Distance of object from the mirror, u=−30

Distance of image from the mirror, v=−60 , image is real.

Now we know magnification ratio m=−

u

v

m=−

−30

−60

m=−2

Height of object h=2cm

Image height h

1

=m×h=−2×2=−4cm

Height of image is 4 cm and its inverted .

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

f = -15 cm

u = -20 cm

we know that,

1f= 1u+1v  (mirror's formula)1−15 = 1−20+1v1v = 120−1151v = −160v = −60 cmnow,magnification = m = −vu = −(−60)−20 = −3−ive sign indicates the image is inverted and hence real1f= 1u+1v  (mirror's formula)1-15 = 1-20+1v1v = 120-1151v = -160v = -60 cmnow,magnification = m = -vu = -(-60)-20 = -3-ive sign indicates the image is inverted and hence real
