Answer: -0.2 volts

Explanation: Induced emf = -Ldi/dt

=-1mH x (2.1-0.1)/0

01=-0.2 volts

Given,

Inductance=1mH

Current changing from 0.1A to 2.1A

Time=0.01sec

To Find,

Magnitude of induced emf.

Solution,

We have the formula to calculate magnitude of induced emf,

e=-L(di/dt)

 =-1mH(2.1-0.1A/0.01sec)
 =-1mH(2/0.01)

 =-10^-3H×200

 =-0.2Volts

Hence, magnitude of induced emf in a coil is 0.2volts.
